Investigators are shocked to discover the brutalized corpses of two men stuffed in the trunk. As law enforcement chases every possible lead in the search for answers, their investigation brings them to the National Inn on South Lincoln Avenue in Corona.

At the motel, police find a bloody scene which indicates the woman was the victim of a brutal attack. The victim is identified as Sonya Ortego, she and her fiancee had been staying at the motel for almost two months. Detectives get to work interviewing witnesses and collecting evidence from the scene. As the investigation continues, police start to believe DeRidder may well have a killer on the loose.
