Growing up between Río Bravo, Tamaulipas. Ana Brenda Contreras moved to Mexico City at the age of 15, to participate in the reality show Pop Stars, where she was a finalist and member of the band, t'detila. They recorded an album with the same name. In 2003, she joined the Center for Arts Education Televisa to study acting.
